Legal and judicial journalism is a specialized domain within the field of journalism. Mastery in this area can only be achieved through a perfect blend of professional knowledge in both law and journalism. No formal course offers education in this specialization. Without formal training in either subject, Ajit Gogate, through four decades of dedicated and self-taught efforts, gained this expertise and pioneered this specialized branch not only in Marathi but also in regional language journalism as a whole. This memoir has been penned by him as a guide for the new generation.
